Annual Martelli Scholarship Banquet

Registration for the Martelli Scholarship Banquet is now open.

The Banquet will once again be held at the Round Hill House on March 17, 2017, 7:00-11:00 PM. All proceeds from the event go towards our scholarship fund, which will provide 2 scholarships to one male and one female senior graduating from Washingtonville High School.

Last year, through the generosity of all who attended, the club awarded two $1000 scholarships. During the night, there are raffles that support the scholarship fund as well. The price is all-inclusive for the evening. Each ticket is $75 before March 1, 2017. Tickets purchased after the 1st will be $80. Tickets can be purchased through our sports illustrated page which can be accessed by the registration icon at the top of the web page.  If you do not have an account, it will take a few minutes to create one. Once in your account, hit the registration link. Then use the register adult option and then choose Martelli Scholarship Banquet. Ticket sales will end March 7, 2017.

We hope you are able to join us for this fun filled event.

The event is mainly for those coaches and directors that are employed by FC Barcelona.   Coach Nyiri was invited in recognition of his commitment to the Barcelona Method and Style of Play and implementing it in youth soccer programs in the United States.

So far during his visit, Coach Nyiri has had the opportunity to speak with several members of the FC Barcelona staff including Pere Gratacos, Head of Training and Knowledge who is also the head of “La Masia.” “La Masia” is the name used for the FC Barcelona Youth Program.  Coach Nyiri also was able to spend time with Joan Vilar, Head of Barcelona Methodology.
